Benedict is a seasoned tax partner with extensive experience across leading advisory and Big Four environments, including senior roles at KPMG and EY, where he rose to Tax Manager and led complex engagements for high-profile clients. His work spans tax compliance, advisory, restructuring transactions, rights issues, debt restructuring, international contracts, TRA audit support, and tax dispute resolution across multiple sectors.
With a career serving clients in banking, extractives, agriculture, telecommunications, investment, transport and logistics, health, hospitality, insurance, and charitable organizations, Benedict has built a deep understanding of sector-specific tax dynamics. He has represented clients before the Tax Revenue Appeals Board and Tribunal, guiding matters from hearing to judgment and strengthening his expertise in objections, technical opinions, and regulatory response processes.
Beyond client work, Benedict has contributed to national tax policy engagement through NBAA, TPSF, and TATOA, and is an active tax trainer for professional associations such as NBAA. He is also a recognized thought leader with numerous published tax articles and technical insights featured in professional and national publications.
Benedict holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance (Hons) from the University of Dar es Salaam and is a Certified Professional Banker (CPB-TZ) accredited by the Tanzania Institute of Bankers (TIOB).
