Acted as lead counsel for Bouygues Energies & Services throughout the project for Procurement of Plant Design, Supply, and Installation of 400kV overhead Transmission Line Under Kenya – Tanzania Power Interconnection Project (KTPIP) with contracts price exceeding $37M from Arusha to Manyara.
Advised an international company undertaking Supply & Installation of Medium and Low Voltage Lines, Distribution Transformers and Connection of Customers in un-electrified Rural Areas project worthing more than $5M.
Advised an international construction company on procurement of unsolicited PPP construction project in Tanzania and assisted the same in conducting pre-feasibility study of project.
Advised an international consortium company on implementation of114km long 400kV transmission line project from the new Arusha Substation to the Tanzania/Kenya Border.
Currently advising an international contractor implementing two packages projects for construction, testing and commissioning of water supply schemes at Kayanga, Chato & Geita as well as Kilwa Masoko and Namnyumbu towns in Tanzania respectively with combined contracts price of over $133M
Successfully assisted various clients in procuring sectoral specific licenses, building permits, approvals and assisting them in obtaining tax exemptions certificate for tax exempted projects.
Constantly engaged for strategic engagement with the high-level government authorities, local communities and Project Affected People (PAPs) to ensure smooth undertaking of the project and knowledge transfer as well as project value addition to the surrounding communities through capacity building programs;
Provided investment advice to various nature conservation companies focusing on voluntary carbon offset projects and assisted one of them in acquiring 5Million Hectares of land for the projects.
Advised various clients in wildlife and tourism industry in acquisition of wildlife concession areas for tourism investment purposes such as accommodation facilities, hunting blocks, ranches, and other eco- tourism concession projects/investment ventures.
Advised French Company exploring potential for mining investment in Tanzania on local content compliance for service providers in the mining industry and its establishment in Tanzania.
Advising client implementing project on supply of mobile court vehicles (trucks & buses), a contract valued at TZS. 4.4B on contract management, extension of time, contract variation and design specifications.
Advised clients on energy sectors and other clients undertaking major construction projects on EWURA compliance specifically on infrastructure construction approvals, petroleum operations qualifications, petroleum consumer installation operations licensing, HSE measures, local content compliance, experts’ retention and qualification for retails outlets.
